“Ethiopian Harmonies” was composed by Reginald R. Robinson and John Reed-Torres.
This ragtime tune celebrates the great, early twentieth century black leader and social activist – Marcus Mosiah Garvey Jr. (August 17, 1887 – June 10, 1940).
Marcus Garvey was born in St. Ann’s Bay, Jamaica. Self-educated, Garvey founded the UNIA (Universal Negro Improvement Association), dedicated to promoting Africans world wide and resettlement in Africa.
